or is Stern instrumental in aiding in the collapse and failures by applying pressure, sometimes that is the tactic to put pressure on the small guy and force them out of being competition. I hope the good small guys remain as it has helped pins step up in technology and helps maintain competition.

I don't think stern are applying any pressure or are the direct cause of these boutique failures. Just reading the summary, I would not be surprised if another manufacturer called up the owners of the Predator license and "dobbed them in". I think most of the smaller guys support each other in certain ways, but dirty tactics would not surprise me.

Sometimes you just need a bit of luck or a smart investor to "bail you out" - just like they did when Stern were in trouble in 2009. But to completely stuff up with licensing is really stupid.
