Jukebox help required
« on: August 31, 2010, 05:02:17 PM »
Wellni have the jukebox running but I have a few queries.  When the magazine first starts to rotate there is a clicking noise which is the clutch think slipping out but once it's moving it's fine.   All the voltages are good.

Also there is a large 5w resistor which runs between the triac and the magazine motor which gets hot (around 40o). Should this get that hot?  Williams lamp resistors get hot which is why I'm unsure.  Any help would be great

Hi Daniel.
Not sure which jukebox you have but I had the same problem on my JAL-200 .  The magazine would not rotate properly - just sat clicking and trying to move.
I adjusted the small metal plate connected to the latch relay(see pic) so that the switch below it was activated properly and this seemed to solve the problem.
Not sure if you have a similar mechanism on yours but might be worth investigating if you do.
