There is no attract mode and no sound  only a humming sound ,have all power at the sound board , tested z13 chip pins 2,4,6,7  on the driver board  for sounds ,nothing   don't know where to look next

If the humm is coming from the speaker it is most likely not faulty.

Also might pay to reseat the connectors between CPU and sound board.

I'm constantly having problems with my 80A sound boards. There is that remake board from overseas but the dollar is very ordinary. Try re flowing soldier on all the components

My Rock encore (80b) has played up once only so far.

Reseating connectors fixed it.

If its humming through the speaker then the amplifier section is working. Problem therefore must be signal to sound board not existing ..OR signal exists from CPU but sound board cannot synthesize

Have new connectors on order from great plains , ground mods have been done in back box and orange caps have been changed in the cabinet ,is there any where in australia
you can buy connectors to replace this edge connectors

Have you repinned your machine? Maybe that will sort it out. I've had a couple of SYS 80 & 80b's and this seems to sort a lot of problems out.

soon as the new connectors arrive i will be changing all pins and connectors ,i have noticed that pin 4 on the sound board connector looks broken what does that pin control

You may need the schematic to find this fault. SYS80 has a sound board and a power supply that power the sound board. You need to check voltages at the sound board connector.

Pin 1 - +12VDC
Pin 3 - -12VDC
Pin 5 - +5VDC
Pin 10 - +30VDC

Pin 6 - GND

Pin 4 is one of the signal inputs. But you need to check voltages to the Sound Board as the first step.

have checked all voltage is good +12,-12,+5,+18 vdc  when the amp on the sound board was upgrade the +30vdc
was changed to +18 vdc power is all there

What you can do in the meantime is clean the connectors up a bit.
 Take the loom off and put in a bowl, sprinkle a liberal dose of bicarb soda over it  making sure it gets inside the connectors and pour vinegar on top... it fizzes away a lot of the tarnishing. Make sure you rinse liberally with water afterwards and then dip into methylated spirits and shake dry.. the meths disperses any water and the loom will dry quickly.
On the board, the copper connections can be cleaned and then  flow a little solder over each... this fattens them up a bit and compensates for any loss of tension on the pins in the loom.
So long as you don't have a broken pin inside a connector, this tip will alleviate any issues
