Title: EM Gottlieb wanted
Post by: keg_guts on February 26, 2009, 04:41:14 PM
Being new to this I'm interested in starting off with an old Gottlieb EM.
The other half has graciously allowed me 1 (at the moment), cause you can't have a pool room without a pinnie, it's just not civilised. <.>

I have a wish list of sorts, am after one in good to excellent cond, plug and play.
Can't do a project yet, can hardly change a lightbulb, so that will have to come later.

List in no particular order –

Sweet Hearts
Sky Line
Bank-A-Ball
Jacks Open
Card Whiz
Surfer

Am partial to the Pool and Card themes, love the early graphics #*#

Have contacted Pinball Mania who have Surfer and Jacks Open for around the 3 - 3.5K, Bumper in Melb seems expensive but also i'm not sure of the going rate for the early machines, keep an eye on ebay but the older machines don't come up that often and usually needing TLC.

Don't need it til early April as I'm moving into the new house then, thought it would be a good time to put some feelers out.

Any info or help will be greatly appreciated.

cheers

Jacks Open and Surfer together for $3500 ? Surely not EACH  %.%

Better off checking eBay. A member here recently sold his entire EM collection, and he had some superb machines. Hopefully you will pick up something cheap from a member here. All the titles except Sweet Hearts and Skyline have appeared on this site, so give it time !

Just be patient !

I agree ajlaird , someones fishing for a sucker.
That ones more like it. It's at Newcastle , not too far from you Keg , Hey & if your up that way call in here & have a few games on my 3 EM's, see what you think.
& like Nino said " be patient". It's hard to be patient sometimes but that nice pin at a reasonable price does come around sooner or later.( usually later, :lol but its worth the wait )
cheers Steve.

Did you end up buying an EM?
Some other good card themed Gottliebs are High Hand and Drop a Card.

Hiya
Maybe got some things happening through some of the good folks here, legends all ^^^.
Not worried if it doesn't happen yet cause I've just moved into the new place and still unpacking so no rush and I know i'll find the right EM.

Actually have the spot(s) sorted in the pool room %.%
