Bally Rectifier Board, screw in a bad spot
« on: April 21, 2012, 02:09:58 AM »
Why dident Bally put a cover over the rectifier board on the floor of the cabinet ?
Tonight I was playing a couple of games on Flash Gordon and during a game my GI lamps kept going dim  !@#
Then all of the feature lamps went out  ^&^
Went to check the fuses and found a screw had fallen from the playfeild and landed right in the middle of the bridge rectifier.  ^&^
And that blue the 20 amp fuse that controls the feature lamps.
The screw came from one of the plastics I replaced earlier in the night that must have fallen through.

I replaced the fuse and all was ok,,,, thank god for the humble fuse

They did - yours is clearly missing!  If the standoffs are still there it is not too hard to make a replacement.
