changing the DMD ROM in GnR issue

Just picked up some new English ROMs from John Wart Jr. One for the CPU and the other for the DMD. The new CPU rom is ok but the new DMD rom shows nothing on the DMD. I put the old DMD rom back in and its ok - is there something I'm missing here? !@#

hi john,silly question, did you put the dmd rom in the right way round first time.as reversing it will kill it.don't just look at the lable text like i have done before.

Im sure I put it in the right way.

I noticed some dipswitches on the DMD board - what are they for?
