Hi everyone, my name is Phil. Have recently accquired an old data east machine and have joined up hoping to get a few clues as to how to get it running properly again. Im not actually a newbie to pinballs, worked in Sydney many years ago for a couple of the larger  firms as a service guy, however this one is a 1993 R&B - I had already long  left the field by then. Strangely enough the same common faults still seem to prevail........ <..>

Howdy Phil and welcome,

I don't mind the Data East Pins, I've got A Tommy and a Jurassic Park and both a great fun to play. I'm currently fixing up the JP as it has some GI issues and burnt connectors, but that's half the fun  %.%

Thanks for the warm welcome. Its not all sponge as I hope to contribute, will try and upload some images as work progresses. So far have sussed out most of 'why it doesn't work'. Have made enough temp repairs to boot but currently idling on 'blanking' problem.
