If a pinball expo was in Ballarat….
« on: October 01, 2014, 05:04:27 PM »
Just throwing this out there to see if it can work
If a pinball expo was in Ballarat, would you come?
If a pinball expo was in Ballarat, would you bring a machine?

My idea of an expo is for us pinball fans to celebrate pinball and to remind the public of how much fun they are
Yes, I would have some commercial stalls
But I would not want to be trying to shift containers of games. No auctions

I had a chat with a local convention center, they have a room that will easily fit 70-80 machines. And they can give me a price in a few days

I can bring a couple, but do we have many people here that can help make this happen?

Ill be there... transporting a pin from QLD may be an issue, but its possible I guess and if I did it then id bring a woody down... possibly WMS ROCKET, GTB SOUTHERN BELLE or GTB ROCKET SHIP. If stalls are available then again - im interested for Flipperescue. Would also be happy to supply banners etc for the event.
Just let me know..

depending on the dates I would come down and could help out with hall layout drawings and could help with a booklet

Yes I would come and I'd put my hand up to help set up leading up to an event like that.
I could handle parting with a couple of my pins for a few days.
Free pies Pete?
:)

It would be an open event. Everyone welcome and no "exclusivity". I would be there.

I would help in any capacity - organization, machines, stalls, handing out flyers.

I would give up as much time as needed to make this event work. First to be there and last to leave.

My only requirement will be at least 6 months advance notice to prepare games for people to play  ^&^

I've never been to Ballarat? If my planets align I would be keen for a visit and try and meet a few more freaks   %.%
