Hey that is an idea for a custom game, Geelong, the pinball. With your mayors head as a bash toy

That's a great idea, but I think Stern have a patent on useless bash toys.

I wish to thank everyone here for their offers of support, it has been appreciated.
I thought that by posting this on both forums, I could cast a wide net and maybe other local pinfans might come out. I must be the only pinfan in Ballarat (or I have annoyed too many people)
While I can organize most of this, I cannot run the event by myself on the day
Nor do I think that I will be able to get enough games on the floor

I will put this idea back on the shelf for now

For anyone else thinking of this, it is doable
I have done a quick run of the numbers, may not make huge $$ for charity, but you should not loose money

thanks
Pete

It's cold and windy all year round, it may as well be in Tassie  :lol :lol :lol

Better make sure there's plenty of stalls selling HOT DRINKS.

Plong, Noj472, Finny, thank you for offering games
I cannot see that I will be able to attract the 70 games we will need to make this happen

for now, I am not proceeding with this

OK - So this won't be happening in Ballarat.

We can either close the thread and redirect to a NEW thread - so as not to get confused that there would be an event in Ballarat - or rename it if people wanted to test the water in another location..

As long as people know at this stage - it won't be in Ballarat.

Not trying to be smart but how or why did you determine you would need 70 machines for the event?

We need power to do this, a modern facility will br best to handle this
There is a convention center up the road, i made enqireies there
They had a sizable foyer, ideal for vendors
The main room was at least 20 x 20 meters
Should be able to fit at least 60 - 70 games,

A new thread would be better, then people will not get confused

here is a drawing I did of the Caves Beach Pinfest event, it really helps to visualise a practical option and running power, stalls etc

When you have a venue just get some sizes, doors etc to me and I can draw up for you.
