Nice work on the plastics. Did you put them between 2 sheets of thick glass?? .. or some other method?? I need to flatten a set too and could do with a few hints.

Gday Mark .

I put them on a sheet of grease proof paper on a pizza tray then when I took them out had them between 2 sheets of greasproof paper witha couple of heavy books on top while they cooled down (5 mins or so).
I watched them like a hawk while they were in the oven  :D

thanks for the tips. ... I'll give it a go when I'm feeling brave. Your plastics look great now, so well done.

A couple of quick progress pics .
Reinstalled the coin door today .  1st time its been on the cab since I got this game over 4 years ago  #*#.
Pity I don't have a before pic but it was in a really bad way rust wise . Its cleaned up OK, not perfect but I can live with it .
Still need to find some of the hardware for the inside and clean up the coin reject buttons .

Also the topside of the playfield is coming back together .. installed new flipper kits and cab buttons a few days ago .

Hoping to ramp up the progress on this game now Spring is here .

That playfield looks really good in the photos. Great looking artwork and a marvel for 47years old. Well done.

Great job. I like the work done where the flipper drag wear was. That's a hard "color" to match.

Inspired by Mitch I have made a start on the backglass for this game .
The main problem is a lot of the red is gone so I have carefully scraped away what was left around the words and 2 of the riders jackets .
I debated what to do about the girls cheek at the top of the glass , but decided it would be best to be all one colour rather than patchy . Hopefully that decision will work out .
Have some work to do with the ‘1 or 2 players’ area too .
I  cleaned the lit areas with cotton buds dipped in windex .
Here's a couple of before and after pics .
I've since sealed the glass so hope to get stuck into the painting soon .
This is the first time I have attempted this level of touchups on a backglass.

Todays progress pics

Have completed all the touchups so far with my $2 shop acrylic paints.
Very happy with how the girls cheek turned out , the fox and the red horse below the fox .

Of course the touchups will be seen when the glass is backlit, but most of the time its not  *%*.
Will still look better than all the missing paint .

Next step is make some stencils then spray the red in the larger areas   @@^
