Title: Pinball Hex Post Cable Restraints - NOW AVAILABLE
Post by: swinks on October 25, 2013, 10:55:21 AM
A new mod / improvement is now available to improve the look of you game by replacing from those ugly cable ties with a HCR-V3 or HCR-V4.

Hexagonal Cable Restraint - V3 (vertical entry)
Hexagonal Cable Restraint - V4 (sloped entry)

These are currently available in dark grey for the following purchase options:

x2 = $5
x4 = $10
x6 = $15
x8 = $20
x10 = $25 - but with a 11th supplied for free

For every 10 you will always get a extra one, not just the first 10.

Postage - $1.35 to anywhere in Aus for 2 items up to 40 items, please ask for a postage quote if over 40.

Payment - prefer direct deposit, though will accept Paypal as a gift payment if that is your preferred option.

As for the cost, all Australian made, in house, therefore they are not a few cents each unfortunately but for the 2 Spotlight posts that are on the Sterns only 2 HCR's would be needed and the game looks much better and they are re-useable. A decent LED will cost $1-3 and will last 1 to 2 years, this will last forever and is functional in that you can remove cables for servicing if needed and easily clip back in.

Hexagonal Cable Restraint - V3

This component is designed specifically for the 6/32 hexagonal posts used in pinball machines targeting mainly Stern Pinball machines. Stern place these small hexagonal posts and spotlights above the slingshot area as well as other places. Wires can now pass these hexagonal posts being restrained neatly as opposed to the ugly cable ties.

The idea is to tidy up the pinball playfield visually removing the cables ties that have a untidy bulky zip fixture at one side from the view of players and spectators. The clamp is designed to be re-useable as they open up while fitted to slide in small wires as well as making it easy to quickly remove wires with out the need to cut and replace cable ties.

The restraint is slid over the post which may involve some small dis-assembly and re-assembly. The “V3 clamp” is designed to hold 1-2 of the slightly non stock fitted heavier wires that are between 1.8mm to 2.3mm each in diameter - this gauge wire is commonly found on after market purchased spotlight fixtures. The “V3 clamp” is designed to suit a 6/32 hexagonal post that measures 6.2mm across the flats.

The “V4 clamp” is designed to suit a 6/32 hexagonal post that measures 6.2mm across the flats. It has the sloped entry slot to better retain wires so they don’t slip out.

Just letting you know that Greg RTBB will be the Australian Supplier for these items and he will have them in stock very soon. Once I have completed RTBB's order I will ensure I have a buffer stock so if you need / want them they will be available to go out the next day after payment is made.

Thank you for reading.

And a big thank you to RTBB for supporting me in this hopefully one of many items to come, thanks Greg I am very appreciative  ^^^

Cheers

Jady

In addition they will be available from Shapeways offering different colours and materials (though not all will be suitable and freight is a killer, but it is a option)
