Adding Replays
« on: December 16, 2009, 01:07:02 AM »
Want to increase the replays showing on my Gottlieb Sweethearts - Replay wheel only goes to 15,would like to add a few more numbers, was thinking of adding decals but would find it difficult to scan the replay reel, anyone by chance have these numbers (Correct Font) available in word format ?

Yes Tony, I am a sinner  ^&( ^&( - High Tap and now - more replays.
As you know,Sweethearts is a machine of high replay getting, once you get all those cards lit then Specials on ALL Rollovers then Knock,Knock .....Want it to knock a bit longer -maybe this is why this machine was so popular back in the 60,s.

Could you just rewire the knocker so instead of stepping the credit wheel it does the knocker?  That way you could get endless knocking???

Millsy Iv'e haven't seen a credit reel on the 'Sweet Hearts', however from experience with similiar credit units on early 70's machines', I'm not sure whether you could increase the credit wheel credits. You would be windng the axle spring extremely tight and adjusments would need to be made to the posts on the cog which trigger credit limit contacts. May be able to wire up a light, bell or other. I would be interested to see what you come up with.

GT,
The Replay cog credit limiter has 4 different adjustments (Probably used by operators to limit total replays) I can go one more, which should increase the replay total from 15 to 20. Spring doesnt seem to have excessive tension on the existing placement (15 replays)

millsy,
Unit looks to be the similiar to 1973 Gottlieb 'Pro football'. From what you have shown and said, there may be provision for 5 more credits, I'll take a closer look over the weekend. Handy to know! Keep me informed if you go ahead with the changes.
