Here comes another noob!
« on: July 12, 2013, 07:46:22 PM »
Hello Aussie Pinball community!

My name is Sana, I go by "soundasleep" as I'm rarely awake when I'm meant to be, nor asleep when I'm meant to be. Insomnia is fun ;)

Seriously though, I'm almost 35 so I'm just on the outside on the vintage that remembers dropping 25c coins into arcades and pinnies while my Mum played league bowls. So many great memories!

For years I've always said that one the thing a computer can't emulate is a pinball table, and I've always wanted one for myself. The problem I always faced (apart from the $$$) was I'm not particularly mechanically minded. Electronics, sure, but not mechanics.

Of course, buying a pinnie is only the start. You need to keep her running and this is what I was always a bit iffy about.

Last year a friend of mine started work on a virtual pinball table. I've been following it's progress and I've fallen in love. I want my own virtual pinnie!

So here I am. Come to join the experts to learn tips, techniques and what is the most awesome hardware and software combinations out there.

This might get expensive....but it's going to be a lot of fun!

Wait? Soundasleep from AVF?

This could be quite the co-incidence!
