Title: Getting the collection back out...
Post by: pinnies4me on October 25, 2008, 11:08:49 AM
Had all but AFM and BBB packed away while the house was on the market, so had a great time this week dragging the games out! Still got a couple out at other people's places, and another couple in the garage, but some of the favorites are now playable again! (Stargate mirror is with my sister the artist for some touch up to some scratches).

Whoopeeeeeee!

Absolutely nice collection. What machine is BBB or is it that prototype big bang bar or something?

However, you may have good taste in pinnies but football teams (Harves book??) LOL.

Pin God, dude stop writing your reply inside someone elses quote box, hard to read mate <.>

It is a great collection, I had the pleasure of playing Nicks pins awhile ago, all in top condition.  Great to play a real BBB, beautiful new playfields in the Funhouse and AFM, loved the Black Hole, cool game.  Good to see you have them all out again mate  *%*

Less than a minty MM, bit more than a minty MB. So pretty good buying at the time. I was not quite in the original pre-order group from IPB, but bought out one of the buyers a few months into the project. It's a fun game, really nice collection of shots and it has a nude green chick, so who could ask for more??  :D

Sorry KTM but still getting use to the new format from AA. I hope this is what you mean?? I'll choose replay rather than quote.

For pinnies4me sounds like a gtreat machine, I thought it might have cost more than a MM. Sounds like you look for perfection in your machines. I'm trying but seem to miss the mark a little.

No, definately not perfection, some are real "player" games (ie BH is in average conditions). I have been lucky enough to secure new playfields for AFM and FH, but they are real keepers, so worth the investment.

BBB when they were first announced sold at $4500 US, I paid the guy I bought out a little bit more to get his spot, but still ended up paying way less than they now seem to sell for. I actually put a bit of time into an MM then when deciding (given the price similarity) and decided on the BBB. Gene Cunningham reportedly (pretty reliably reported - his wife Georgianna told me on the phone!) lost in dollar terms some $200,000 to $300,000 building them, but as she put it to me "Lost? No, lost nothing - I've never seen Gene happier, so there was no loss".

secksie.

p.s. The misspelling was intentional =) It's kinda like spelling crab with a k (krab) but I digress...
