Ok well Im happy with the touchup Ive done on the flipper wear....
And the bigger area infront of the sling has been filled level with some filler...Im going to have a go at doing the water decal idea on that one...

Nice ! and keep the good work coming!

Firepower is a prick of a playfield to touch up but so far your doing a great job. LONG LIVE FIREPOWER
-
Paul - Have you ensured the flipper bushing is the right one ? Make sure the flipper cannot drag any longer and ruin your good work.
^^^
-
Yeah mate...no drag there....she is playing really nice...Ive seated the Inserts that needed to be done as well...
Wotto gave it a workout on friday...was luvn it

Normally I think polish is enough to keep that PF good, but FP gets so much lower PF wear. Thinking about mylar? Nice painting, and hardly noticeable I reckon Paul.
-
If i did another Fire power i think i would mylar it just to protect the planet. Youve done a great job touching up yours but i dnever want to have to repeat it?
-
Yeah after ive done all the touchups I will think about what to do then...mylar or wax
-
Ok well used the water injet decals to touchup the playfield today...average result...but with some tweeking could get it heaps better..they are SUPER thin...but not sure how they will last so I will leave these ones in place to see how they wear for a while..

The planet on the Firepower is a bugger to touchup...the 4x area looks heaps better and the other patch while not perfect is still better than bare wood...
-
The decals are SUPER thin....I think thats a good thing..
-
Looking a lot better than before Paul . ^^^ Very interesting to see how this turned out , and as you say, how it will wear.
I am very lucky my Firepower PF doesn't need any touchups , but at least your machine is working . !!!
-
Ive got the decals saved on my pc to print out...so just need to change the colour and brightness ect to get it better...but as i say will see how it wears before redoing them first....and yeah still looks better...would be no way to touch it up by hand...all the tiny dots ect..
