Two questions ?? Stern 2nd hand prices rising ? ?
« on: January 13, 2015, 09:14:29 PM »
Have the prices of 2nd hand HUO collector Stern machines gone up in price now that the BNIB prices have gone up ?

If it's now a $7850 replacement cost for a
Mustang Pro
Star Trek Pro
The Walking Dead Pro
Metallica Pro

Have second hand prices now also risen by $500 to $750 ?

Also, now that no more brand new ACDC machines are being made, have HUO ACDC machines risen in price ?
The replacement price of the Pro is also $7850.
Although the original cost of the ACDC Pro was around $6500 delivered with shaker motor. Do u now increase your prices on your HUO 2nd hand machine ?

What are your thoughts.

I think you underestimate the intelligence of the Australian Pinball community.

People are able to spot gratuitous price gouging a mile away and will alter their purchases accordingly.

Someone refresh my memory !@#, but wasn't the original ACDC Pro the first machine in ten plus years to be priced at $5900 NIB ex Sydney?

Overall I don't think second hand prices have increased. Not on the pro models. My AC/DC pro was $5950 NIB plus freight. I can only get high $4ks for it now even with plenty of extras added to it.

Some of the LE models are a different story. Tron LE and LOTR LE for example continue to increase.

My ACDC Pro was $5950 minimum pricing paid in full upfront but you have to add delivery from Sydney to QLD which was $300 plus $250 shaker motor which is a must have which equals a minimum of $6500 delivered.

I don't underestimate the intelligence of any person or group of people, I am just asking the questions to see what others think ?

No
No
Price rises will scare potential buyers away.  I doubt that I will get another NIB LE and a Pro would need to be extra special and desirable for me to pull the financial trigger.
