Born out of a need for high quality, pinball related merchandise – Platinum Pinball, under license from Planetary Pinball Supply - are proud to announce the first title in a series of collectable – fully licensed Bally / Williams skateboards; suitable to display on your game room wall!
Both timeless Americana, skateboarding and pinball are now seamlessly merged – allowing collectors from both backgrounds to capture the spirit of these iconic times.
In keeping true to these American roots, these collectable boards are proudly Made in the USA, using premium North American Maple plywoods by one of the countries longest running board manufacturers.
Where possible, all graphics are silkscreened by hand, direct to the board – further adding to the uniqueness of each item.
With the above in mind, we are extremely excited to announce the premiere title release

The amount of effort that Stu and Tim have gone through to get this concept to fruition is immeasurable. It shows the commitment from day one. The photos don't do it justice. It is an amazing piece of artwork.
RTBB will also be distributing this product, which we expect to have stock by the end of next week. Can't believe we were successful in keeping this "under wraps" for so long !

Well done guys!!! To have my two collecting loves (pinball & skate decks) merged into one is a dream! #rad

Great work Eltimbo & Stu!

Well I'm pumped about these, I know how long and hard Tim and Stuart have worked to make them come to fruition and like carbonROD the pinball/skateboard combo is a dream match for me also. Fantastic Work guys! @@* @@*
I was fortunate enough to pick a board up while in Geelong this morning and they're as awesome as they look.
Here's some pictures, though as they release more I plan on a new wall just for the Platinum boards.

The process was exhaustive and at some points in time, I was worried that it may not proceed. To the guys credit, they kept going until the project sprung to life. This is a licensed product, in a niche area. It is a "crossover" product, that still has some risk that it may not work out. But I think it will work out, and some of the future artwork packages will be just as good. The "due diligence" of Tim and Stu was at the utmost of professionalism. I hope they can enlighten us on some of IMPORTANT aspects that would be overlooked. It is really hard to go from the initial idea to the product you see today. It has been 12 months in the making. But the end product is astonishing !
I remember Wotto posted pictures of an indoor skate park / shopping centre for skate boards on one of his USA trips. Hundreds of decks on the wall. Not many look as cool as this deck.
The other point is that some don't like flyers, but for whatever reason, they can't own the game. This is PERFECT to hang on a wall.
Some of the next artwork packages are really going to be amazing.

I hope you are able to get licences for 60s/70s machines as well. In my biased opinion, that period of pinball artwork would look great on a deck. I would jump at anything with angular artwork on it (e.g. Christian Marche: Time Tunnel or Mariner).
So does this mean the whole 'photoshop' Vs 'hand drawn' discussion might soon migrate to skateboard art too? @.@

We were discussing these possibilities months ago. The sky is the limit. The second table is locked in and will be released before Christmas. Stu and Tim have made many trips from Geelong to Thomastown, and they have access to all my games to take as many pictures of artwork as possible. Licensing is an aspect of any artwork package. Obviously KISS, Playboy and superman would be massive sellers, but you can't just use the artwork without a third party agreement. There would be scope to have a poll at some stage to ascertain what people are interested in. Seriously - Woodrails to Sterns. "Rocket Ship" - "Walking Dead"..
Most of the 60's and 70's games would only require a quick email. The third party licenses can be worked on. I assume Fathom, Paragon, Medusa, Xenon etc would be fine. EMs - Old Chicago - no reason why that can't be done. Wizard and Captain Fantastic would require 3rd party licenses.
A lot of the licenses would be obtainable through Plantary Pinball. A quick email to Gottlieb LLC may lock in any GTB Title 9except maybe Rocky). So there's a lot to consider with the older games. Newer games won't be an issue through Planetary.

Just to clarify - These were produced by "Platinum Pinball Supplies". The artwork for this deck is licensed by Planetary Pinball.
They are NOT a "Limited Edition" product.
-
What a great product and they look fantastic.
I can already see the need for custom pinball trucks and wheels to suit them just to make them look better on the wall.
Can't wait for paragon, might have to be done on a slightly wider board to account for the wide body:)
-
Artwork printed horizontally on these decks would look great too . Could use the decks mounted as a topper on top of the headbox or on the wall behind the corresponding pinball .
-
Well Done Tim, these look great.
-
Just do RADICAL, please.
-
Great work guys, they look very cool ()

Looks great Daniel, I got a feeling there's more great things to happen to the games room and maybe a great year ahead of you too. ^^^

nice work Tim and Crew, a Skateball one would have to be on the cards and would be a awesome way to connect with the skate crew at skate shops.

Xenon looks right up your alley AJ, as does Fathom. The Xenon looks the goods though.
