Again learn to read (and spell).

In the context of MM, all MM machines were sent to Japan at the same time in 1997. As they were unloaded they were all affixed with a Taito metal plaque on the right hand side of the headbox in the same location.

This is fact, not some third party my best mate internet anecdotal garbage from 10 plus years later.

Last year I bought an unmolested Aussie delivered original MM for well under $10K. They are around. This was not a special deal, or knowing someone - it was off ebay.

What, no Martin and his magic MM stash anecdote?  :lol

Unfortunately, there are  a lot of issues with the remake that don't appeal to all. I personally do not like the electronics, and wonder how robust they will prove to be. Then there is the damage done on a lot from slings being in the wrong place, and the issue with ink quality on inserts such that the words cannot be read when the lamp is on...Quality issues now hopefully being sorted. Surprising given they are coming off the line of a long time manufacturer, and with a  20 year old design.

They are beta boards that have not been subjected long term testing and the consumers will be the guinea pigs.

It isn't what I think, it is what I know for fact - hence the photo earlier.

You clearly forget a lot of things but when you spin as much online self serving bullshit as you do on AP, you are bound to be permanently covered in a miasma which would no doubt affect your already limited mental faculties.

1. A noxious atmosphere or influence: "The family affection, the family expectations, seemed to permeate the atmosphere ... like a coiling miasma" (Louis Auchincloss).
2.
a. A poisonous atmosphere formerly thought to rise from swamps and putrid matter and cause disease.
b. A thick vaporous atmosphere or emanation: wreathed in a miasma of cigarette smoke.

I had a WH20 once that had a taito badge inside the cabinet.
Don't know who put it there or why but it was there.

Basically means in this context, a highly unpleasant smell. Something that's pungent. Classic word choice, been a while since I last read that one!

I sourced a Jap GNR (immaculate) for a mate and it had the Taito metal badge proudly affixed to the side of the head box. I actually liked it - good historical reference

Daz, it seems that not ALL Taito badges were stuck to the side of every machine like someone professed before repeatedly. Lol
It seems the Taito Badge Crusader missed one when he got off the plane in Japan when he factually did EVERY Japaneese machine personally that was sent from the USA.
Playing with Match Box Ferrari cars can cause lapses in concentration.
This must be the only answer.

There shld be an inquisition immediately if a single headbox was missed & didn't get the badge.
Not doing every headbox surely must be Insanity ! ;)

Hope u are well Daz and all the best for 2016.

Well it had damage on it when I got it out of the box. Front decal bubbling where they bolted the coin door on. Wood trim under speaker panel (the glass trim screws into it) has nice gouges in it that even Stevie Wonder could see. Glass trim also has a nice screwdriver scratch on it.
There was a few things that I needed to adjust also as Stern didn't do it right when they build it etc. All I can really say that it is a great pin but Stern's QC sucks big time with the damage on it when it left their factory.

Anyway put in a ticket with CGC and after 42 days with no answer I emailed Rick (PPS) and to his credit he handled it straight away by emailing Doug from CGC and then in turn Doug emailed Wayne and myself so Wayne can order the parts I need under warranty. As far as the wood trim with gouges, CGC doesn't support labour warranty so I have to fix it myself. Wayne did offer me to return it for a full refund though so Rick (PPS) and Wayne (Mr Pinball) have don't the right thing but sadly Stern and CGC is another matter.
