Is there any reason why it is not an issue with some members ?

Is anyone else having similar issues ?

Mine seems fine. I use Firefox for browsing.

FYI I think I'm having the same issue as Retropin.. both the "Show unread posts since last visit" and clicking the unread tab show the same limited number of posts. Prior to the update I had a lot of unread posts. I had never clicked "mark all unread posts as read", as once i'd read everything I was interested in that was actually "new", I would go on to read the older unread stuff.

It's as if the update marked everything as read, so now I the only unread posts I see are posts since my last visit, rather than everything that is unread.

I'm also using Firefox (v3.6.12).

Creech, I am like Gavin,I have lost the 20 pages worth, only have the 5 or 6 unread messages from last visit etc.  !@#

Also, I have gone into "General Discussion" and noticed at least a dozen unread topics so the "unread since last" is not working correctly at all.  !@#  !@#

Everything is ok with me, i used to click "Show unread posts since last visit." which now shows only a few posts.

Now i use the new "unread" button and it shows over 100 pages of unread posts.

This is really cranky now..

I had only one post in "unread"

I knew this must be wrong so i went through "Home" and saw that 63wizz had replied in this thread... i read the reply.
I then go to my messages to reply to one and come back and i have  approx 6 unread posts... one of these though is 63wizzs' reply which i have already read.

Now, if this is any indication to what is going wrong.. heres the EXACT scenario of what happened.

Everything was fine until i turned the pages red ( after reading some posts) I didnt like it so changed th apge colour back to "DEFAULT"
Since then, ive had the problem of no posts to read.

Now then.. today i click "UNREAD" as usual and only have say 6 posts. I then REFRESH the page and i get logged out even though i have clicked " Stay logged on forever"... i have to log back in, but the Home page is red again for some reason.
Once logged in, it reverts to "Default" mode again but i only have 1 post which is BossXXXX office.

Click "refresh" and still the same 1 post

Go to messages, come back and get the 6 posts

Any chance we could just get the old forum back and sod the colour selection?

Well it really has me beat. I have posted a question on the SMF support forum. I really think the colours have nothing to do with it. It was just a coincidence. Choosing a colour just changes the forum stylesheet, not any source code. I was mucking around with some settings hence you getting logged off the forum at that time.

I'm trying to get advice on how to reset the post markers so that you will see all posts once again when you select "UNREAD". Please bear with me...

I think I finally kicked this prick in the nuts. Not the easiest forum to configure but I found some obscure document on the support forum that helped. Let's keep an eye on it...

Yep. I did that on purpose to get everyone back on track and to ensure new users get to see every post. Just mark them all us read to get rid of them.
