If flyby nighters come in with cheap pinballs to sell LET'EM

The rule was introduced after the exact opposite occurred on the site and it caused the mods a few headaches. Some well respected members were not pleased with what had happened (as they were involved somewhat), so we created the rule to avoid the practice from continuing.

20 posts is low enough in my opinion - Introduction, collection, "Hello" posts to new members, Sunday questionnaire  ^^^

I don't have a drama with the minimum post requirement.

I would like to see the forums (Not just the Trader) read-only to guests. The forum looks pretty dead unless you log in.

The odd few peeps I have directed here - I have stressed the need to sign up before you can see anything.

I think you need the minimum post requirnment for a few reasons:
1. To reward regular contributors with first chance to see any bargins being offered for sale
2. To ensure sellers are trustworthy and not dumping crap and running.  (I know most people on this site would never do this including the lerkers, however, you need rules in place to assist in protecting regular members and contributors).

Like has been said, it does not take long to rack up 20 posts...

I think what you guys are doing is fair enough ^^^.  I'm a Mod on a car forum and we used to have lots of problems with blowin's until we introduced the same requirement, allot less headaches for the guys who look after the site.

I'm sure I'll reach 20 posts soon *%*

Cheers Mark.

Well, it's something that could be debated for some time...ironically by debating it at length we're all adding to our POSTS count.

So after a year of very enjoyable, but reserved, aussiepinball membership...with my first post I say LET THE POSTING BEGIN!!  #*#

Came across this thread by accident but a minimum number of posts sounds fair. I guess I'm guilty of lurking for far too long myself. @.@
