Title: STOLEN : stern Grand Prix
Post by: beaky on May 01, 2015, 09:12:21 PM
A customer of mine has had his Stern Grand Prix from the unit he was living in (he was told by his ex flat mates that 2 guys came and picked it up for him but they may have sold it on him)
It happened over the last 3 weeks
It is missing the following items:
: All boards in back box except display power supply
: the backbox speaker panel and DMD
: The center scoop that the car is mounted to
: the cabinet speaker

If any one comes across some one selling one of these machines or looking for the above parts for a Grand Prix please contact me via PM

It was taken from Chevron Island on the Gold Coast
serial number should be E196084 (this is the serial number from the CPU Board)

thanks

Sounds like the x flatmates and the police need to have a little chat.

Hope your mate recovers his machine before someone parts it out.

Thieves are just the worst type of cowards their are.

If there's one thing I really hate - it is thieves. I hope these morons get caught and prosecuted. I'll keep my eyes and ears peeled.

Worst nightmare  ^&^. Missing all those parts would make it pretty hard to sell and pretty easy to spot if they do try.

Bloody tip rats !!  Get a job

Thanks guys
I will keep you informed of any news this end

the reason why i have the boards is because the poor bloke had every board in his machine (including the dmd itself) fried. Don"t know how it happened, i was going to give the machine the once over before powering it up. (machine also needs some coils replaced)
the cpu and dmd driver were that far gone even a supplier in NSW proclaimed them to far gone (its going to cost more to repair it than to replace it) so he had to fork out for a new cpu and display driver board. (CPU was a Whitestar with SMD components)
and now this happens to him

This is a great game. I played one for the first time just recently while on a Hamilton Island holiday.

Well worth fixing and a middle finger salute to the lowlife mungrels who stole from customer.

Lowlife pieces of trash. I hope to hear a resolution to this.
