CPR had some on eBay 2 weeks ago. Fairly priced, but I was not watching any of them. Maybe send them a quick email - you never know !

Thanks, I seen that one, it was $1300. Plus freight, $$ exchange, GST etc, starts to get real pricey.

i know some were sitting around US$400 + US$200 shipping - not sure if they were Gold, silver or Bronze standard.

Those price points would have been ideal.
Emailed CPR, they don't have any but referred me to Starship Fantasty, have emailed them.
Looks like bad timing for me, not a big deal, after many years finally got a complete machine that plays nice. So can play and enjoy in the meantime. Restoring original playfield is an option too.

HSA do no longer ship to Australia due to 2014 US postal service restrictions on package size.
Anyone know where to get a full set of playfield inserts?

That would be a USPS restriction. They have made a lot of changes recently. Don't give up yet !
I would ask if they are willing to send via UPS. I have recently received playfields from the USA and Canada with no issues.

OK - but I assume they still pack and send to USA address. There's a few companies that will import the playfield on your behalf. I can't recall who they are exactly, but they are in business to do exactly what you need done - have someone ship the playfield for you. The only catch was that is arrives by sea.
Starship Fantasy will have the silver and bronze and can ship to Australia, from what I've heard.

Thanks mate, appreciate it! Been trying to get through to Starship Fantasy, their "send message" doesn't seem to work and I've messaged them through Facebook twice with no reply, will keep trying.
Will update with any news.

update: Starship Fantasy have sold out. Maybe a rerun in the future but they are not sure when.

Cheers! Ended back at CPR for something else and they just got back a heap of stuff their clearcoater had for several months and what do you know....it included a Whirlwind playfield. Good timing, great timing!
