Post by: Ford Fairlane on February 15, 2009, 11:26:11 PM
Hi Guys total noob question but the metal rail near the flipper of the gulfstrean keeps getting knocked out and im wondering how i put it back in. Is it just a simple matter of super glue?

Cheers!

ball guide rail that sits in the Pf itself?? These are normally able to be pulled out if need be and you can than restore the pf.

Several options - can glue it in, but i prefer Araldite to Super Glue - hey!! Super Glue aint that super believe me!

Id be more tempted to fill the hole and then redrill to a gauge smaller diameter. If you do this - dont use wood filler - its bloody crap and takes too long to dry. Builders bog is absolutley ideal for this as the rail can be inserted while its still curing and it then a perfect fit - and ready in 1 hr.

Or another stuff ive been using lately is a filler from the model shop - aint cheap but gees its good! Dries in like 2 mins max and is super smooth
