Super Band Flipper Rubbers
« on: December 09, 2015, 10:09:31 PM »
Just changed the super band flipper rubbers that came on my Fire Power back to standard rubber. For me a huge improvement.
I know a lot of people speak highly of them but I have to say I wasn't a fan. First game without them my new high score and 2 multi balls in the same game only the 3rd time I have achieved this. Just seem to have more control or maybe just what I'm used to. Either way I find the game play more enjoyable now.
Each to there own but that's my 10 cents worth.

There are "fake" superbands on the market.

RTBB is the Aussie Distributor of the genuine "Superbands", and we sell a LOT of these flipper rubbers. For example - since March - over 800 RED standard flipper rubbers. I trialed a set of black ones on a Stern CSI, and they are very good. I sold a TFTC to a friend 2 years ago, and he has been through 2 sets of standard rubbers in 18 months. I gave him a set of Orange superbands and I had a look at his game last weekend and they are holding up well.

It is like anything "new" - it takes a while to get used to them, although I think they are better suited to 90's pins. I'm not sure I'd use them on my Paragon.

Is there an easy way to put them on?
I've read everything from putting them in a warm bowl of water to using novus2 on the flippers.
Looking for The Simpsons Pinball Party and Dungeons and Dragons.

Novus polish would make them slip off every time you try to install them.

I've installed genuine superbands on a few flippers, and they are easier than standard rubbers. You start at the shaft end, holding the rubber down so it cannot slip and then stretch across to the tip.

I do the same as Nino but I rub a little bit of dishwashing detergent on the tip to help it slide a little easier.
