What Dan said. I don't know how many times I've been in search of a particular machine, coming to the conclusion that the world is going to end because i'll never find it. When I do get it, the next 12 months are full of forum and ebay listing with that game in it. My last game was a good example: Family Guy.

ESB's come up for sale on average every 6 months or so.
Last one I know of went to the states a few months ago.
Not liked by a lot of players due to the hard shot to the right single drop target and the centre targets are known to break from being hit so hard, still a favourite of mine.
If you are after it for the  playfield layout it is nearly the same as  space invaders.

I am from France.

I am after hit only because of the art, and because ESB was my favorite episode.

5000 USD, out of budget ^&^
Euro is weak compared to USD, we lost 20% since last December and it makes deals difficult.

EUR vs AUD is stable and all-in it will cost me less to buy it in Australia. It is also a challenge to bring back a pinball from the Earth's other side.

Thanks for the link !

I would prefer to deal with a collector who can arrange a minimal packing.

Title: Re: WTB Empire Strikes Back

It will cost me a lot to ship it - so I would prefer to import a nice machine (even if I have to put few extra hundreds AUD).
This one on eBay is not great - average cab, weared playfield and BG, missing bumper caps...

I would pay 2000AUD for a nice machine if you are in a major coastal city and can put it on pallet.

Valentin, unless you have had private offers from AP members, I doubt anyone on this forum has an TESB for sale

When I asked for valuation, feedbacks were around 1500AUD.
Let go over 2000AUD then !

The problem is not finding one for the amount you want to pay ... it's finding one full stop . Very few of these around and those collectors who do have them will rarely let them go .

Here's one.

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Star-Wars-Empire-Strikes-Back-Rare-1980-Pinball-Machine-/231786324942?hash=item35f78aa3ce:g:B7sAAOSw5IJWcQ7o

Admittedly it looks to be in nice condition cosmetically speaking but the seller is clearly hoping to find a buyer on a Star Wars high after the release of the new movie.

Agreed. I was offered 2 of these for $1500 each 7 years ago. I thought that was too much at the time.

Admittedly it looks to be in nice condition cosmetically speaking but the seller is clearly hoping to find a buyer on a Star Wars high after the release of the new movie.

Except it's missing 2 flippers.

Added some stand offs to hide, and added some next to the lower flippers to make it look "factory". So some extra screw holes in the playfield, always a must have.

Sold mine for $1925.00 on ebay seven years ago. Thought I'd hit the jackpot!

And here's one on auction, but he does point out the game is $15K elsewhere!!  http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Empire-Strikes-Back-Pinball-Very-Rare-Own-a-Piece-of-Star-Wars-History-/252216249663?hash=item3ab9428d3f:g:jAEAAOSwhkRWcoWB
