« on: June 05, 2010, 06:16:40 PM »
This is my $100.00 special   My brother in law turned up with a ph/ no and told me he only wanted what he paid so I decided to paint it Some previous owner has left it in the rain and with the cab being made of chip board  the edges have swollen
Ive started on the cab 1st and have had to round the edges to find solid timber

When I paid for this the back box was sitting on the p/f glass because he reversed and forgot to lift the roller door which ripped the bck box off the cab causing more damage   Luckly the B glass survived and is in perfect condition

I played one of these a few months go after fixing some problems with it. Not a rated game, but it was still decent fun.

Good to see another member with a Black Pyramid, it's a simple but fun game. When I first got mine couldn't get my 13 year old son and his mate off it. My BG is

also perfect, I have not yet seen a Black Pyramid BG that has suffered from flaking unsure why, must have something to do with the paint or technique used to

print the BG.

enjoy

Good on you for taking this on, there's a few problems - don't know how a previous owner could allow it to get this bad.
Is the sux decal by the outhole original - I would have thought a bit too risqué for the times?
Will watch how you go with interest.

Left out in the rain.  Ripping the head off while reversing out the garage.  I think i know who the previous owner was....

Hi Ive got the boards back and its looking good Ive had a new back box made by a kitchen guy who was making a new kitchen for us. It cost me $100.00 and he did a great job. I kept the old back pannel and he stapled the alloy sheild from the old pannel back into place in the new b/box

I had new decals made from a sign writter for the  back box and cabinet and he did a great job

WOW - Great job with the head rebuild and the decal. Looks VERY professional and I doubt anyone will know the difference between it, and what it would have looked like when new.

With the cabinet because it was left in the rain I sanded and sealed  so many times   I thought I had it right
The decals went on  right side not happy   There is a few bubbles that are hard  but still looks ok  left side is perfect

I realised after applying them there should of being yellows rather than white  but im still happy with results

The decals on the back box went on easily and look great

The game is playing now  Mitch bought back the sound bdr  and where not sure if the sounds are correct  we have 1 slow  bumper that needs a new coil and then its finished

Mr pinboligist bought me some new instruction cards

The p/f can be restored at a later date
