Pawn Stars Odds & Evens

Just saw a Pawn Star episode on Foxtel, Season 3 Episode 2 replay which featured a Bally Odds and Evens. The guy wanted $3K but settled for $1K. The condition looked neat for age but there was lots of internals missing. The restorer ended up spending $3K and estimated the final price to $7K.
I never saw this title before and am amazed at the beautiful artwork and colours especially the greens. You also get to see about 6 other EMs in the background at the restorer's house.

Yes, I thought it was a bit rich considering the sold machine already looked so neat. The seller also settled on $1K witout any hesitation or lost sentiment.

Yeah that episode with that game has been repeated on 7Mate i dont know how many times in the last six months or so!

I was left wondering the same thing..   he replaced a few bits n pieces and cleaned it!
I sure didn't see $3k worth of work there  

And yes it already looked in sweet condition when it was brought into the shop.

Doesn't he ( the professional restorer) to justify the vast expense on an already tidy machine, state:

" Every switch and contact inside needed to be taken apart, thoroughly cleaned and then reassembled"

To anyone who is into pinball, this would suggest that:

A) he is a total liar
B) Doesn't know what he is talking about
C) All the above

I hear similar stories "on the road". $4000 to replace a playfield is the latest story I heard !
