Very excited I just won the Bally rapid fire on eBay. Always wanted one but last one on I seen for sale was just bad timing.
Does anyone own one of these or played one?
-
Great pickup there, should be a lot of fun once up and running!
-
Congrats mate' is this similar to Hyperball?
-
Yeah Nick it's the Bally version of hyperball.
-
Congrats on the purchase, Daniel. Interesting game to have in the line up. I can't recall playing this title. Post pics when you get it ^^^
-
+1 for the pics *%* I've never seen one of these before
-
Nice pickup Daniel. ^^^
Just checked it out on IPDB. Looks much nicer than HB.
Also looking forward to some pics.
-
Will post picks as soon as its home. No idea where I'm Gunna put it though think I might have to move something on !!!
-
Nice work mate, have always wanted to play one of those *%*
If you need some more room you can always leave some of your games over in my shed for awhile :lol
-
Hopefully pick it up Tuesday or Wednesday have it running by next weekend.
-
Well boys here it is safely in the mancave.
Looks to be Aussie delivered as it has al the setup for 40 cents per play game semi worked when first plugged in has the usual bally corrosion on the cpu and plugs and pins are very average.
High voltage section is only running at 102v only just enough to get the displays flickering but all seem to be working
-
Neat looking unit Daniel, looking forward to a flip, er, shot!!
-
Thanks for the pics Daniel. Looks real nice. ^^^
Something you don't see everyday.
Very Jealous.
Maybe I need to plan a roadtrip to Geelong! :D
-
Cool
I was watching this on ebay, very interesting title, how many where manufactured??
-
Nice machine, look forward to a few games mate ^^^
-
Well it's all up and running few switches and lamps don't work and the ball troughs need a clean but I know it works and can be stripped down as soon as I can find the time.
Noticed the plastic playfield has warped so I might get a new one laser cut any ideas what it would be made from?
-
Interesting addition to the gamesroom, Daniel. I look forward to catching up and having a few games !
-
Looks a interesting game, have fun with it.
I don't know alot about the many types of plastics and have only used 2 types so but doubt it would be regularly acrylic as it cracks easily and the other is polycarbonate as it can with stand very hard knocks etc. Just be careful what you clean it with as the material can permanently cloud up - stick to water and micro fibre cloth. Laser cutting polycarbonate is dangerous because of the fumes it releases so best to cnc router cut.
-
I'll give it to our local plastic guy and let him deal with it. It may even flatten out once I loosen the parts
-
Cool game! You may be able 2 flatten the plastic sandwiched between 2 pieces of glass when the weather gets a bit warmer down here one of those 35c days. Set it up in the morning then bring it in at night. Other wise the old heat gun will always work
-
Yep.. CNC polycarb and polish the edges
-
I did see this on AA, but it is a interesting conversion.
