We're working on it but concentrating on 1970's pinny's and arcade. Lot's of fun restoring Playboy and Gorgar with Jungle Queen next in the garage. Parts just arrived so time to get back to work!

Nice classic stuff.
Where did the Gorgsar come from?
-
That Gorgar looks REALLY nice - Reminds me of Wotto's Resto !
Very good ^^^

Wotto, I bought Gorgar as a wreck from Coffs Harbour and have had a lot of fun doing it up. Thanks also for answering my questions and your own site has given me something to aim for. I finished the coin slots last night and almost ready now. I am keen to get the new backglass from Mayfair next month. I was really impressed with the pics I saw of another backglass of a AP member.
I now have the apron artwork which I tidied up with photoshop. Next project is the Jungle Queen apron.
On a separate matter, the photos of Hoyts in the 70's are great. Have you seen any of the Crystal Palace over the road from the same era?
-
How excellent does that lineup of games look!
Thanks for taking the time to post those photos - all top end games also!
-
Nice collection, and another newcastle member! Did that Jungle Queen come from Rob Young? If so I missed buying that by a couple of weeks.
Newy AP meet at your place soon?

No mate - and believe me , I have searched high and low for images from George St in that era, I would LOVE to find images of Crystal Palace as well as Grundy's and/or a photo of that 'strip' from that time would be brilliant.

Great line up ^^^

I was wondering if someone would suggest that! The line-up makes it an attractive proposition.

Yea I did buy that Jungle Queen from Robert and I am going to tidy it up a little. It sounds great and is a hard machine to play. I just bought new drop targets and a tune up kit so looking forward to giving it the once over. Would like to get some stencils but cannot see these anywhere? I am looking for a Sinbad which I thought you had on ebay this week for a couple of days only?
Wotto, remember the fish and chips shop on the Princess Highway at Waterfall and the take aways near the Shell at Heathcote. They had some good pinnies in those good old days!
Cheers. J.D. && &&

yep, it sold quick and was in nice condition. Shame you missed it.
-
G'day John, That is a Nice Collection . ^^^ & they play great as well.
You've done a Top job on the resto's & your Playboy would have to be one of the nicest I've played. #*#

Ok Steve. I hear you guys had a great night last Saturday. Keen to get on the invite list next time around and return the favour of course!
Robbie has my Gorgar tonight and is looking it over for me before we fire up for the the Bolwarra Bushrangers function we have here on Saturday night!
Then perhaps we can play Gorgar next time the youngsters catch up! I reackon Gorgar will be even better to play than playboy!
Plenty of pinball players in the group on Saturday! One has a broken Joker Poker I am keen to buy!
Parts have now arrived for Jungle Queen so must be time to start on that too.
Cheers!
hey Extra Ball, how much did you get for Sinbad. Must have been a lot as you removed it from sale early!!!
I was tempted to call you and ask if you wanted to swap given your comment about the move back to EM's!
Cheers!

didnt withdraw it, buyer had wanted one since he was a kid and clicked buy-it-now
Prices are improving, and guys are buying now rather than later?
-
Obviously you are taking a chance if you try to win one at an auction; if the BIN price is set right it is a win-win for seller and buyer.

From a fellow GORGAR owner you also have a real nice example-Is the coin door black? or am I seeing things. I too am looking at a 70's themed games room/what about a "booth" in the corner or is that too 50's..Mate great pic's-has your Gorgar glass arrived yet??
Peter

Coin door is not black is cromed. See additional pics.
I have been watching the Aussie Dollar and was keen at >80c but now at 78c not looking as good. I will get it when the time is right.
Gorgar is a great machine. Keen for a Sinbad next. Having heaps of challenges with my final lap 3 games at the moment. Thinking I may have to give them to Robbie Young next week to take care of them. Driving me mad!
