The "home" page shows no stats on the forum headings so it may give the impression that nothing is going on in those forums.
Cheers.
-
Thanks James. If I get a chance today I will take a look at the forum software and see what's available.
-
I've never noticed - Thanks James..
-
Just had a look at this. Not quite sure what you mean James.
Each individual forum shows the last post time and who made it.
The home page shows all the stats under the heading "Forum Stats" towards the bottom of the home page. Then if you click on the following link you get more detailed stats: http://aussiepinball.com/index.php?action=stats
Have I missed something?
-
I think he means on the home page, it says no posts and no topics next to the forum topics #$#
cheers Ian

So this is before or after logging into the forum ?
-
After logging in, it is on the left of the summary of the most recent post.
-
Yeah, that one has always has zero's... I thought you guys were just ironing out the edges, I didn't think you hadn't noticed... <.>
-
Ah, now I see. I will take a look at that. Might be a bug with the forum software.
Update: I think it's fixed now. Each forum is now showing total posts and total topics. Thanks for picking this up guys.

Tony and Nino,
Have also noticed when selecting show unread posts since last visit this isn't always the case. Have found it only lists a handful of new posts yet there are many more than what is listed
Maybe something to look into?

I am lucky - it has almost always worked for me.

AAAh, but has it??
If like me you only go to "unread posts" then you may have missed quite a bit. Since the issue has been raised ive noticed i miss quite a few posts

Well, I have so many to catch up on I don't care at the moment!!

Now I care - accidentally closed my browser. Opened up browser and this time the list of unread posts was only a few in comparison with three pages previously. I guess it is right though, in that these are unread since my last visit. I generally never close the browser so never have any problems with the unread posts (never turn the computer off, either, unless I have to). Maybe this will help with consideration of this issue.
I would prefer to see all unread posts, rather than just those unread since last visit.

It usually works for me, I always turn my computer off and it still shows the posts I didnt get the chance to read the last time

After reading the Unread Posts, have you ever gone through each section to see if there are any posts that have been missed? !@#
I have noticed that some of the posts are appearing in their relevant section without a "New" icon next to them, yet they are "unread" posts but do not show up in the Unread Posts list #@#

Yeah I don't get it. Sounds like a bug in the forum software so I need to keep looking for a fix. Sorry about this.

It used to do that for me, but I haven't noticed it lately, I'll pay a little more attention and see.

Yes, I get that a little, find the odd thread with a new post not showing in the "Show unread posts since last visit." link, but not so many as seemed to happen at the start.
-
It has only happened twice to me since the software upgrade..
