Title: You call **that** a “container pin”?? No. 2
Post by: pinnies4me on February 08, 2015, 02:12:34 PM
I got to the Indianaopis 500 today from Strangeways latest container.

Another game that was a find - like Elvis, this game has had a full LED treatment, so I think like Elvis it was a home game that ended with an operator for a short time.

The cabinet has the usual fade, and might just get the Eltimbo treatment, but the playfield is almost perfect - cannot find any wear at all, and just one insert needing leveling.

The first picture is the rag after the Novus 2 clean - basically there was just no real grime at all!!

The Serpentine turbo ramp (the unavailable one) was mashed up at the front, and the whole front section from the rivets gone, so some surgery was required on that.

Checked the fuse values, looked over the (clean) boards, fired her up and just had a dozen games with no issues.

Not your average container pin once again.

Obviously not all containers are created equally. Another nice pick up Nick well done, you've got to be happy with that!

Strangeways pays for the better quality stuff - but to be able to have a game up and running like Elvis in ten minutes, this one about three hours, most of which was spent making the ramp repair - is pretty darn good.

Gotta be a setting on your device Pete - I logged out and could still see them as a guest by clicking the recent thread.

Works in Firefox and Chrome, but not in IE for some reason, but it *is* microcrap I guess.

Congrats Nick and a great tittle to have in ones collection.
Haven't played this game for a long time and i love the left to right shots into the ramps for Jackpots.

Enjoy the speed!

Great condition on the 500.
We had one at AMD a few months back when Norbert was running a pinball service class (the 500 survived our testing).
The one at AMD had very faded yellows but was in good nick in general. From memory it was selling for $3,500.
