Pinfest 2013 - Second Annual Newcastle Pinball event
« on: March 11, 2013, 12:13:55 PM »
Just giving everyone a heads up that Pinfest 2013 is locked in for this year for

Saturday 21st & Sunday 22nd September

at

http://cavesbeachsidehotel.com.au/

which is in Caves Beach which is approx:
- 1hr 30min drive from Sydney Airport
or
- 1hr drive from Williamtown airport (Newcastle area)

access is via:
- car, bus or taxi (if local) - no rail access

I am sure a NPA (Newcastle Pinball Association) member can add details when they arise - maybe cruiserman ???.
- pin list
- sponsorship opportunities
- opening times and cost
- any comps being run

Keep the dates free if you want to come along, last year's event went well with approximately 60 pins and the the owner stated last year that the next Pinfest could use both venue halls so that allows approx 120 pins.

here is the link to the last event

Nice thought but highly unlikely. There is a HUGE amount of work required to pull this project together.

I will probably aim for a demo though.... *%*

In any case I have plenty of other things to show - in particular the Hankin range of boards.

What would the chances be of looking into reproducing Atari boards if you ever get a chance to take a breath?

I would certainly look at them - the only problem I am starting to find is that, without a machine to do some testing in, things get rather difficult. I already have a few boards that are finished and waiting for a final test in an actual machine before I am prepared to do a run of them - I rely on others for this and that often throws a spanner in the works.

I am certainly MORE interested in doing boards that others ARE NOT doing rather than have 6 people all making the same things.

Yeah looking forward to assisting the NPA in putting on this event again this year . At least we have a bit more time to prepare for it this year .

I think the NPA ( Newcastle Pinball Association ) is actually a member here on AP now ??  . There is also NPA and Pinfest Facebook profiles I believe , but not 100% sure what they are called as I don't go on Facebook .

Will update details as they come to light to assist people with accomodation / plans etc.  . Look forward to seeing plenty of fellow pin-thusiasts over the weekend .

I'm hoping to be there this year with a restored game to advertise my Business, and for punters to enjoy. Last year was a resounding success, and I look forward to (hopefully) catching up with everyone !

Yep, sounds great, only potential problem will be footy finals and how well Sydney are travelling.
