Hi Guys,
I finally got hold of an IJ machine after searching for years, it is in good nick however when trying to set up the different options via the utilities menu, the enter button on the door will not function. It will not allow the machine to go into the next menu level.
Can anyone shed any light on possible causes and or fixes I would be totally grateful. Shorting the pins on the actual switch does not activate it....
Cheers

Congrats on locating your machine. If you have the manual, check the last page for the Switch Matrix chart. You can download the manual from www.ipdb.org

The switches you should be looking at are the "Dedicated Grounded Switches". "Enter" is D* - so check the wiring on the CPU board at J205 Pin 9. Re insert the connector. Check to see if the Pin 9 Orange-Gray wire is loose from the IDC connector. Using a Multimeter, test continuity to the Coin Interface PCB J3, and then to the switch. Hopefully, you have no battery corrosion on the CPU board.
