Title: cleaning and polishing
Post by: morgo on June 01, 2014, 06:26:50 PM
had my first pinny about 1 month now and looking to clean and polish playfield.
questions  for first timer
1 is NOVUS what people use and where do you get it
2 canuba wax for playfield - is this the go
3 looking at Autosol for metal parts and ball - is this the go

apart from NOVUS I already have this stuff at home, so no outlay yet.
if something already exist on this forum please point me in the right direction as I haven't found it. Most stuff I have found is American based so wanted to check on what we use here

You'll find RTBB has Novus so no need to buy from OS

This question always opens up a can of worms. People have different ideas on cleaning. Novus 1 or 2 and or wax. I'm a novus 1 person. I have tried using novus2 but it makes the playfield that fast it's unplayable.
Start with novus 1 and if your not happy with the result go to novus 2 and wax.
It's an individual assessment.

I always worry Novus is abrasive and often that is needed. For fairly clean machines has any one tried Wizards Mist-N-Shine Professional Detailer?

It seems to great wraps from everyone who has tried it.  I got some ordered so I'll test it.
