Building a Pinball
« on: August 17, 2012, 07:05:57 PM »
Hey out there,

Have been tossing up the idea for a while.  Am seriously thinking about building a pinball from scratch.  I have some cool ideas and a pretty good idea of how pinballs work.  Also have access to loads of manufacturing equipment and have contacts and access to CNC machinery etc.

Looking for dedicated and like minded individuals with the following backgrounds.

Electronic engineering
Mechanical engineering

The idea is to get together with a group of like minded individuals and contribute different skill sets and produce a pinball for each person, so it may be 3 machines, 4 machines who knows.
I know this would be a time consuming process and require a lot of time and effort.

Also have access to a fantastic artist!

Am ready to put cabinets together now and start testing playfield setups!

Serious responses only

Cheers

I suppose the obvious question is where are you located as someone serious in Melbourne may find it difficult if you're in Perth or even OS. Thanks

I'm not sure if you'll get too far, you still haven't responded to your initial enquiry about customising pins from back in Jan 2012, 8 months ago! gonna be loooong project if you dont apply things and start networking with like-minded people.

Anyhoo, good luck, and revealing your location will probably decide who's motivated enough to join your project.

Just my 2cents.

I have that dream to build a custom pin one day, and like the idea of a group of people working as a team:
Where are you based - state, city?
Deciding on a theme for everyone in the group maybe interesting?

Could be a interesting thread.

 ^^^ good luck
