Title: Monster Bash in the house!
Post by: pinnies4me on May 05, 2013, 02:00:57 PM

Been chasing one for a while.

Had a few games now, and very happy with it as a game. Not as deep as some games, but it's one of those "blast to play" type of games - lots of fun, lots of shots, great layout and brilliant flow, and perhaps one of the best set of toys on a game with all those nice Universal Monsters! They integrate well, without being just crappy bling.

Few games deserve a 10 on art and audio and this is definitely one of them.

The price was right - there's container guys looking for almost the same coin for really poor examples. That said, there's a bit of work to do yet to make it "right" - really crappy condition flipper mechs - can't have been rebuilt during that restoration 2 years ago they are so poor, and have the wrong plunger/coil stops making the throw incorrect. And the coils have been "hacked" and need replacing.

Already changed the flipper and sling rubber - again, weirdly poor condition/old, but improved the gameplay right away. Looks like it had the Drac Trak support bracket once installed, and now removed - odd. And need to change the red pop bumper skirt someone put in with a proper orange one when I solder in the new flipper coils, and clean some stand offs which must havee escaped the restoration. That done, will present beautifully!

Glad to hear it arrived safe and sound Nick .

Apologies for not picking up on the few small issues . I didn't even notice the red bumper skirt but to be honest I didn't have the game in my possession for long enough to pick up on it .

Great game to play . Very fast . Very addictive .

All good mate, and thanks for the **very** good packaging job - I reckon a forklift couldn't have pieced that lot!

I know you only just received it days before selling. My comments really relate to the work that was done to restore the game two years ago - important items not done, but simple stuff and now done and the game is great!

Very happy owner!!

Looks great. I wonder what the cycle of machines on the forum is? How often do leave one State, do a few change overs, and end up near their original home?

Yes it's to bad they don't all come with service log books. I imagine it would be very interesting reading back over your machines former life in arcade/s or pub somewhere. Something tells me that if they did have service books that not many would still have them though and those that did would be missing some detail. Still be cool though.

If they did have log books i'd bet they'd be in mint condition going by how little some operators did to maint their games
