Here is one side of the cab and the headbox just finished painting using a paint roller on a Williams 1969 EM.

Nice progress. So satisfying to bring the old ones from the brink.

Very nice job. Amazing outcome from such a starting point. Underrated machine as well ^^^
-
Paintwork finished - Time to reassemble.

That looks awesome, nice job. The before and after pic comparison is quite dramatic.
-
Wow, nice job. @@*

Shame you gotta hide so much of the nice work under a playfield.
-
Absolutely stunning. Damn I need to add this to my "wish list" ^^^
what's the playfield like ?
-
Playfield consistent with the age of the machine.
Tend to leave PF paint repairs alone !@)

I remember playing this I think. Loved it, that middle bumper is a challenge to keep the ball in play
-
Looks excellent for it's age. Well done on the restoration. Would play like new - and it looks new.
^^^

That playfield has aged well and looks good as is. Even the apron is free of blemishes.
The art work from that era of Williams polarises players. You either hate it or love it.
One thing that I like about the art work is that it is unmistakable Williams 60s. Your Miss-O is coming up great. ^^^

I redone the apron using waterslide decals.
Not a lover of the pointed artwork - prefer the rounded look.

thanks mate, I tried these but thought they were a little thick. May end results were ok but maybe the way I applied them etc was wrong. Did you print out just the artwork or complete solid sheets of artwork plus background? Also did you use additional bonding agents I think I read about somewhere and also did you clear the whole apron or just the decal? Thanks
Looks great btw. I tried to do a space invaders one with long thing stripes which was about 80% successful. I had problems lining up joins and even tried slight over laps
-
Depending on the art design - 90% of the aprons I have done have separate sections, except the misso which I used the full background, dont forget you only have A4 size to use so in some cases there will be joins. When cutting out transfers, cut as close as possible to the artwork - Avoid straight lines, use curves around letters - it looks better & looks like a paint layer. Practice on a spare piece of metal or a trashed apron before rubbing back your original apron in case you don't like the final result. A full vinyl decal is the best way if available.
Once the decal is applied they are slightly thicker than a painted image but a lot thinner than a self adhesive decal.
I dont usually clearcoat the apron when finished as the PF glass will protect it.

Very nice restoration. I'd love to play the finished game. You have some interesting titles, that's for sure !
Is the Bally bingo in line for a resto ? I can't quite tell what game it is ?
-
Great looking game Kev .
Congrats !
-
Well worth the effort, you've certainly done a great job :)

The Bingo is a CARNIVAL QUEEN
May leave this original - Play this more than the pinballs - Love it
-
Wow...and thanks for the tip on the waterslide decal/apron
Can't help but notice a little jump in eras
-
Bingos have that different feel to them. Instead of playing against other players for high scores, you are playing against the machine for your wallet !
