I'd be getting onto Gav (retro pin). He has the rights to make these stencils.

The only Rocky repaint that I'm aware of was (correctly) attempted by Marco (pinfan). The colors were a semi gloss finish. He might be able to provide you with the correct colors.

Thankyou everyone for the replies :) I pmed marco, but i havent heard back from him yet, so this part of the project is on hold.

on an unrelated note, i have drawn up the rocky apron, so a decal can be made for it, if anyone knows where i can get it printed onto a sticker?(is that what it should be printed on?) that would be much appreciated. Also if anyone wants a copy pm me :)

Thankyou

hey everyone

I got a chance to have a good look at my machine today and i noticed a few things that are conserning me

Around the 4 pop bumpers this machine has, there are circles or what i presume to be mylar that are unstuck from the playfield, they are just sitting on there, is this normal, if not where can i buy new ones from?

and in some areas it seems the mylar on the playfeild has got a few spots where it has got some air bubbles in it, the largest spot is about the size of a 10c peice. How would i go about re sticking these small areas down without damaging the playfeild?

thankyou

These are factory non adhesive mylar. It is normal - so don't be concerned. You can buy new ones here ;

The "bubbles" are a natural problem with factory mylar, and from my experience with system 80 mylar, it's best to leave "as is".

Ive had some success heating the myar with a hair dryer until the mylar glue melts and pressing it down and letting it cool if there is lots of air in the bubble stab a very edge with a pin and press he air out the hole.   Doesnt always work so its upto you if you want to give it a try  ^^^

thank you for your responces, they are very helpfull

so my options are leave it as is and it looks pretty crappy in a few areas because the playfeild is black and it looks quite a bit lighter in the bubbled areas

or

tyr to prick the bubbles and flatten them down or heat with a hair drier and hope. What are the possible consequences if i try to repar these areas, im just trying to gauge the risk to reward ratio of this reapar

The worst thing with the puncture and flatten method is it won't flatten and u will be left with the bubble.

There is one other option but you have to be prepared for the worst, you can remove the mylar, using a hairdryer then clean the residue with shellite but you could endup pulling a lot of paint with it.  You would need to be prepared to do some touchup work and clear coat or lay down some new mylar.
