#455 bulbs
« on: April 10, 2009, 03:45:22 PM »
Anyone know a good source for #455 blinking bulbs that blink fast, as apposed to those EIKO rubbish things that blink once every 5 seconds?

Cheers
Rod

Put some Eiko #455 in my TZ mod and found them acceptable. Don't think I'd want them to blink any faster. What application were you going to use them for? BTW, Pinball.com is selling #455 for about $3 each

Well i like them behind the titles of my STARS and Hot Hand. Blends in with the chasing KISS lights sitting in between them :)

OK. Below is a Youtube vid of a Bow & Arrow where the lights blink really fast. I remember asking the guy what kind he used, and someone else suggested tracking down some GE branded ones which they don't make anymore (Hence the ridiculous $3 each from that website)

Anyway, just noticed the owner of the bow & arrow responded and said he was using the EIKO ones. Buggered if i know. Might be just luck of the draw. I've got a couple of boxes of them and they are all shit.

I was intrigued with the idea that some brands of #455 are faster than others. I have some #455 in my Paragon, behind the name on the backglass. There are 6 #455 - from the same box. Switch the game on and 4 of them flash at the same frequency, one is a little faster, but the last one flashes at TWICE the frequency of the other four.
