"Pinball Finder" App for iPhone / iPad for locating Sited Pins
« on: December 24, 2011, 09:31:18 AM »
For those with a iPhone or iPad here is a free app for finding sited pinballs in your local area. You are able to list pinballs that you locate so can help everyone else find them to have a game - so good for us Aussies as well as the US etc. And also has a function that details the pinball quality.

Perfect timing for that Xmas holidays away to find what is around where you are holidaying.

I downloaded both, and the Pinfinder seems to be the easier one to use and the Pro version for $0.99 allows searching worldwide by game or city and can also be used on you iPad.

I already found a number of pubs and a Laundromat near home that have some pinballs so will be cruising around testing some pinballs.

You can zero in on a area on the map but no pinball locations are displayed as that is updated if you are not in a wifi area (macca's, gloria jean or home) or do if you do not have roaming internet access.

I have a wifi only ipad so I can do the research and then write it on a piece of paper to go hunt down a location - for the money still worth it as I found a number of public pinballs in my area that I was not aware of let alone in an area that I may go to for holidays with world wide sites.

Awesome spend of $0.99 I think.

I have both. But of the 2 find Pinball Finder easier.
I've updated around 10ish tables in Auckland and plan to add more as I find them.
I'd encourage anyone who finds a publically playable table to put it up-Good for players and operators.
Like it you can flag up condition or any plyability issues-also scores :)
