Hi Guys
I hope everyone else has received their manuals????
I've had two members not receive their manual one after getting robbed an extra $10 for an extra 50grams.
Plus now an eBay customer hasn't received his bloody original centaur manual
Never had a problem maybe it's just the tip rats in Footscray stealing from the post box but is there a better option?
-
I don't think there is a comparable option for small parcels oz wide service, I think your been very unlucky mate, you may have to consider charging the full rate min postage cost $7.20 then you get tracking under 500 grams, I realise you send out manuals in envelope to save on costs, mostly post are pretty good, one of the better postal services around WW

Issue is getting to a post office during opening hours envelope and stamp I can do after the hours of 10 and 2 which seem to be Australia posts opening hours
-
Anyone with free time want to buy a bulk lot of manuals?? I'm over this shit
-
That wasn't aimed at anyone who's manuals went missing just sick of everything turning into a hassle
-
If you send out often, may want to get some pre paid oz post satchels, dump them in the red box, still have tracking
-
Dan, u have done a great job on here for well over five years. Don't let a small glitch upset you.
I will buy a bulk list of manuals n send tracked n insured by Aust Apost and worth it for the extra $.
I only send this way to cover my bum.
I will look at that list n send u a bulk order.
Keep up the good work mate cause we all know on here you are a truly valued member and a top bloke.
I have felt that ever since I met you n your family.

The satchels were ok but charging $9 postage per manual kills a cheap manual lol.

some feedback
everytime I go to the post office, I ask them "what is the cheapest trackable way to send this item to XYZ destination".
Often, the knowledgable person behind the counter will show u a way that is half the price of the standard OR NORMAL way to get the item there.
the Aust Post worker I had this afternoon, said it takes an extra day to get there, but its half the price and trackable. I said sounds fine to me.
they often don't mind finding you the cheapest and best way to send if u hit them up when its not overly busy and there is no line up behind you.
overall, Aust Post is usually very very good for interstate postings, regardless of the size, until u hit a commercial size box or pinny, for which transport companies then become the norm.

Yes I'm sure there great when your the only one in the store but sadly never seen an Australia post without a lineup

Aussie Post have their problems like all shipping companies. I used to sell Flyers, magazines and video games to buyers all over the world, and I didn't have a problem. Everything I sent was trackable and required a signature. Nothing went missing and there were no complaints as buyer knew they were paying for the extra service when they bought off me.
Since I send larger items, I have an account with Fastway. They are much cheaper than Aussie Post - especially on larger items. I chose them as they send backglasses fully insured for $1500. Anything under 5kg that can fit in an A2 satchel costs under $15 - and they pick up the item. No more waiting in line at the Post Office. This is the BEST part of having an account. In my precinct, the Fastway van visits at least 3 times a day, and usually just pops his head in the door. If I have something to pick up - I simply SMS the driver.
The problem with Fastway is that you need to buy books. I've spent over $1500 in setting up for backgalsses and plastics sets. It works for me, but won't be any good for single parcel use. You can ring them up and ask for a "one off" job, or buy a book (10 stickers) - but you need different books for different locations. It does get a bit confusing, buy I'm used to it now.
Since changing, I have used Aussie Post once in 6 months.

BTW Dan - Happy to buy more manuals off you for my workshop - if there are any left ^^^
-
keep you receipts if it is a package type parcel as often they cover up to $50 value, have had to do it once without too much hassle.
-
I have been buying a few books from ebay about the size of a manual.
I have been noticing most sellers have been using those yellow envelopes with a few stamps on them and dumping them into the post box.
I guess that's the way they do it to avoid the lady at the counter. &&
so keep doing it the old way and use stamps ^^^
If buyers want the security offer them a more expensive option other wise it falls on them if the item gets lost. #@#

Yes suicide. I hate austpost.
-
I don't have a problem with Auspost when sending out stencils. Never had one go missing. For an extra $3 you can mark the item as having to be signed at the other end, something I always do as advised by my over friendly Auspost agent who for some reason cleans his teeth in front of me..

A 1kg parcel from Melbourne to Sydney using Couriers Please
Road ATL is around $12. I know that is higher then oz post but that could be an option to list for customers. Door to Door service
