Hmm, you won't be buying a The Addams Family pinball in Australia for $1400.

Maybe if you shared the eBay link so we could look at the listing for you? Just cut and paste the URL into a post.

Machine looks ok, the cabinet has been repainted, backglass looks good.
What state are you in?

I agree, looks like this one has been repainted and I imagine the playfield has been touched up as well. However, it doesn't match IPDB - you would need to confirm what the cabinet should look like.

Always best to inspect in person if you can, otherwise get someone you trust to have a look.

Welcome to the forum %)%

Note the zipper flippers are not working on this machine.
"...zipper mech is there but coi had melt down so its been disconected"

+1 Best to inspect in person if possible.

Good luck!

 $.$ and  %)% to AP.

The machine has been repainted not to factory condition ;

It is not working (Zipper Flippers)

Playfield and backglass look great, and it is the English version, not the German version. I'm not sure of it's value. $1000 might be ball park if the cabinet was left original and the Zipper Flipper could be a simple fix. It is best to view it "in person" if you want to buy.

Is it located nearby ?

Cheers guys thanks for u info. I might give this one a miss seeing its not origanal cabnit and has a few issues. I live in western victoria. About 4 hrs from this machine.

So the old machines in 60s,70s are they a good place to start on buying my first machine. I am a sparky by trade and i think i could be able to repair a machine. After reading some posts on here you all sound very nice so im sure thered be a lot help from here if there is any issues with repairing. Thanks heap

My advice would be to start with an EM from the 70's , especially a Williams EM as they play faster and tend to be cheaper (most collectors are obsessed with Gottlieb EM's) .
Also, if possible, try and find a machine that has the schematic and manual included .
Armed with both of those you can fidn and fix any faults .
If it doesn't have them , they are available to buy from places such as The Pinball Resource in the US.

I say choose a 70's game only because prior to about 1966 , far as I know, games only came out with a schematic , which makes fault finding harder.
A manual will have a grid reference to the schematic for every switch and coil , as well as explaining how things work .

Good luck in buying that 1st pin.

You could try this one, I really like the backglass, being a Chicago Coin you might get it a bit cheaper.
