Title: Gottlieb "Class of 1812" - OzHorrorCon Restoration
Post by: soundasleep on November 20, 2013, 11:18:11 PM
It was only a matter of time before I ended up the proud owner of a mechanical pinnie. Over the last few days the stars have aligned and today I picked up my "new" Class of 1812.

Mechanically she is complete, although the head box is missing. I've got all the control boards, original translite and glass + an AlvinG alphanumeric display I'm going to try and adapt to work.

The plan is to restore this baby under the OzHorrorCon banner, making improvements like a new severed hand and beating heart, produced by local special effect houses.

First step is a really good clean. Being new to this, can I get some recommendations and what's best to clean with, and what cleaning products I should avoid?
