I see where your coming from Cavey, as some people are negative and some people are positive but you missed one, in this case many people are just real. It is what it is.

I'm trying to remember what my Metallica topper cost including postage to Australia by memory about $300 and really it was a piece of cheap plastic with some LEDs and the only reason I bought it was cause you can't get them here so having the choice to buy here is great :) these mod guys selling there stuff are making a ton of money so if it's good for them it's good for AMD.

Finally, an educated opinion. Lol
Like ya style Pete.
Yes, the thin plastic toppers for $300 seem expensive.
The Stern one seems to be a lot more stuff for the $$ ? Early days but seems Stern is on a winner with its entry to the Mods market.

$500 for a tin of red paint and a used toothbrush is a bargain.

Jackson Pollock did the same thing with Blue Poles and it is now worth $30 million.

I'd much prefer the Stern mod as its interactive! even spending a little more at least it looks like it belongs to the game and theme. There's some great mod guys out there but there's also a ton of unlicensed crap to and thanks to Stern there making some nice coin. If I bought a WD I'd get the topper for sure and judging by other forums I reckon they will see heaps.

At $500 the " side armour trim" needs to be a lot more than some CNC routed sheet with a print on top you would think

The mods look great and really suit the machine. They won't sell many as the prices are just too high. Stern are not the brightest with mods and spare parts pricing.

Some people just cant seem to remove the Stern brain slug can they.

Stern make some good games every now and then but they are not the beginning and the end of the pinball universe.

Plenty of buyers can't hand over $10k plus quick enough on a game they haven't played. I'm sure many will buy these new mods.
