Winter Olympics Pinball Competition - some funny stuff
« on: February 04, 2013, 12:47:07 PM »
over in the US a comp was held:
12 games set up were the most creative I have ever seen at any pinball party.

Have you ever played pinball (No Fear) through a periscope?
Ever played Fish Tales through a sheet of ice?
Ever played Luge Pinball?
How about LOTR on a platform and a moving treadmill?
How about Hurricane with a 60MPH wind machine blowing at you?
Or TOM with the two targets near the ramp activating an instant tilt?
How about a moving playfield?

These were just a few of the events. Here is some video:

Coincidently enough yesterday I was discussing with the kids if I could rig up remote flipper buttons on an exercise bike so I could play pinball and train at the same time. I do a fair bit of cycling and sitting on the trainer when the weather's bad is the most boring experience in the world.

Technically it would be easy, I'm not sure if the viewing angle and not being able to feel the machine would take all of the fun out of it though. You could extend the idea and have the pin powered by the bike as well so if you slacked off it would shut down

%.% that Flash pinny if funny. Looks like that ORBITOR pinball with the undulating play field and spinner bumpers
If it isn't broke, it isn't pinball.

and

- whirlwind blower at the players feet shooting up
- fishtales ice top
- luge (must using a mirror under that board)

it would be good if you had a comp to through one of these games in for a laugh and to level some of the scores
