My Xmas Pressie
« on: November 29, 2013, 05:16:56 PM »
I got the following email from El Timbo this morning.....

GHALIIII!!

Next week man...next week. Gorgar is coming back to you for Christmas....

Looking SWEET!

How is the rest of the project?

Timbo

This is perhaps the best news I've had since.....maybe ever!

I took one of my Gorgar playfields down there for the full high end HRP treatment.
It's been there a little over a year (I insisted there was no hurry and that he take his time)  Nonetheless....I'm over the moon to be getting him back, been giggling like a schoolgirl all day!

The gallery updates have been looking fantastic but I bet it looks way better in the flesh.  Cant wait to see it.

IMO HRP are the best pin restorers in the country, bar none.
VUK you!

Can't wait to see the pics! I suspect you're right gonna be a great Chrissy present for sure, I know Tim's work well.

He's doing a playfield for me at the moment too, can't wait for my email!!

Got down to G-Bung and picked up this bad boy today!

As expected, Tim & Stu's work turned out nothing short of A-f**king-Mazing!!   For a brief moment, I was literally speechless.  Absolutely elated.    $#$

I'll post some before / after and close up shots sometime soon.   In fact, I'll make an extensive resto thread at some stage, still much work to do on Lord Gorgar.
For the time being....here's a few glory shots.

VUK you!

Carefull....  Overlord Gorgar is the cause of everything that ever goes wrong.  He'll think nothing of ruining your life, as he has mine.
I'll never forget the time my car stereo was stolen, my girlfriend left and my dog was diagnosed with cancer - all on the same day.....F____n Gorgar. Ruthless.
VUK you!

.....Now Nino, I've never been one to shy away from a challenge and plan for this pin has always been nothing other then 1st class. Top shelf. Proper like.

I still have massive amounts of work to do on this machine and alot of it requires me to do some homework.  Time always seems to be in such short supply for me.
This particular Gorgar is the first machine I ever bought, I've never seen it working.
I've pretty much kept my plans for this machine under wrapps so far, untill it's way closer  towards bein finished.

I will however, share a few of my plans with you.   Firstly, this pin will not be restored to 'factory spec' thats never been part of the plan.  I have a 2nd Gorgar machine thats more or less 'stock'

I have a spanking repro backglass for this machine.  (Repro'd by Williams in the early 90's, colours are bang on!)
Replacement circuit boards on hand (All from PinballPBC)
Move transformer from backbox to lower cab
Upgrade flipper assemblies (prob sys9)
I've also aquired several one off pieces of bling
Several other surprises - Top Secret!

This is all, of course, in addition to actual machine resto stuff.  I really plan on this machine being an exceptional example of Gorgar....

You'll just have to wait (and wait, and wait!)  for the resto thread I  eventually make on it

VUK you!
