We spent time with the family today and they were overwhelmed with the messages and well wishes from both forums.

The family are grateful for each and every message.

Decidedly not much in the pinball mood, and have been staring at a part for the last few days - Greg's parting gift, arrived several days after he left us. It was sad, but in some ways not, as it was a reflection of the man - a gift of a rare part to fix a game....

Anyway, Mrs Pinnies4me told me that I should finish the game off as a tribute, and I think she was right. Video here

of the game fully working, thanks to our generous friend.

Thought may as well share here, as Marty asked me to do some art in memory of Greg which I gladly did and honoured to do for the mates of Greg. I think Nino and Marty may turn this into a sticker as a tribute to share around though not sure - sure they will let us know when the time is right.

If you do guys, I will buy one and put somewhere and if a smaller size than true dmd I will put one on the back window of the car.

It is a true to size dmd art, 32 x 128 dots of Greg's highscore initials.

Great banner guys and some great tributes to a true gentleman of the hobbie :) I'd only met Greg a few times at meets but I'm still shocked it's happened so I feel for the guys that where close to him and of course my heart goes out to his family. He would be proud of what you guys have done to honour him :)

Love the sticker idea.  Very subtle but very cool pinball tribute.
Addicted to pins.

Greg, RIP

To a great mate and a fantastic customer and business associate over many many years. You will be truly missed by all in the pinball community and by your friends and family. Our condolences go out to all your friends and family. Many thanks for your business over the years on new Stern pinballs and for you constant supply of spare parts to keep our customers pinballs running to perfection. The guys in Perth all spoke highly of you efforts and support over many years. You left us way to early and I will dearly miss our long phone conversations. I will always remember our last chat just recently.

Farewell Greg and till we meet again.

Regards,

Joe Tripoli

The family have requested that no flowers or wreaths for the funeral. Again, all are welcome to the service on Friday.

What we have decided to do is make something pinball related in the form of a plaque and a display cabinet that will have a part synonymous with Greg's love for pinball. We will be looking at making around six of these tributes, which will all be different, and present them to family members as a reminder of his contribution to the pinball community.

These small cabinets (or something similar) will be from the Australian Pinball community as a whole. They will be produced from the donations already collected, and any donations that will collected via this thread, or a thread of its own.

At this point, we want to farewell our great friend, and then move on to some form of tribute.
