My GB won't be too far away now. I recall hearing Stern pinballs are rubbish. Why I don't know. Firstly to the nib stern guys, do you recommend replacing the nib balls immediately or not? Secondly, is there better balls than others to buy in oz or os (pref oz) as GB has 12 balls. Thirdly, should I replace the 6 captive balls or only the trough ones?
Thanks

Remove the factory ball bearings and buy the premium balls.

12 BALLS! $$(
Second mortgage to replace them right there. Have to be premium high carbon balls for the magnets too. You would hope that Stern have listened to the people and use better balls now.

rust, rusty anything is bad for your game
the last couple of Sterns I looked at had stainless steel ramp flaps, so (hopefully ) you are safe there
rusty balls will chip away at your playfield
always check your balls ;)

Only ever had to replace balls in 1 NIB game others have been fine :) Open game clean balls and if you need to replace them there available from pinball life but Nino may be able to help you :) I've never seen rusted ramp flaps in any of my games or friends new pinball games.

You heard right! #@#
Seriously the factory balls in my old STLE were fine. I guess newer games have been worse.
