This is my first attempt at a restoration. If it wasn't for this forum a) I would not have this machine in the first place and b) there is no way I would have been able to source all the parts I needed to complete it, get specialist help from some of the members here as well as to have the confidence to give it a go.

This machine was acquired October last year as a project machine. I do not exactly know how long it had been in storage, but as can be seen it was incomplete and was not going.

Over a period of time a number of parts were sourced including;

- Rottendog Pop Bumper Boards (Originals were missing)
- NOS Driver Board (Original stuffed)
- Drop Targets
- Lane Guides
- Pop Bumper Bodies and Caps
- Voice Chip (Original was missing)
- Flippers
- Flipper Rebuild Kits
- Flipper Coils
- Target Bank Coils
- Ball Shooter

There were other bits and pieces as well (rubber ring kit, acorn speed nuts etc.)

I was unable to source new plastics,hopefully Pinball Resource will do another run of them next year.

The cabinet was fairly good, just needed a good clean. Just waiting for an artist I know to come around and touch it up in a few spots.

Special thanks to the following members of the forum:

Tony (Illawarra Steelers) for putting me onto Michael Shalhoub. Rocky is a machine I have been chasing for a while, never thought that I would get one with a limited production run of 1,504 as well as being a desirable title. Within a month or so of getting Michael on the case, I had a project Rocky at a great price. Michael has also sourced for me a couple of other pins I have been chasing - Ali and Paragon. Michael is a great guy who has gone out of his way for me.

Gavin (Retropin), no words required pictures do all the talking  $#$

Dean Morgan. I sent all my boards and displays to Dean and he went through them all and fixed what needed to be fixed and replaced what needed to be replaced. Dean has been a great help, nothing has ever been too much trouble and I am very grateful for this.

Nino (Strangeways) His detailed step by step restores detailing the products he uses like Ranex Rustbuster has been invaluable and gives confidence to us members much less experienced to give it a go.

Marco (Pinfan) and Daniel (ddstoys) for sending me a couple of bits and pieces I neeeded.

My 7 year old son had been constantly pestering me since I bought this game, "Dad, when can I play Rocky?". Well he started tonight "Dad, when can I play Paragon?" - can never win!

As has been said a number of times, this is a great forum, with such helpful people.

Also excellent to hear your son is already turning into a pinhead (or maybe already has ?)
I too have been inspired by many people on this forum to have a go at my 1st restoration which is still in progress.
Like you I wouldn't probably have attempted it if I hadn't seen and read so much inspirational stuff here, that other members have kindly taken the time to document .
Funnily enough, I purchased the game I am restoring from Michael.

This machine looks GREAT, that PLAYFIELD IS IN FANTASTIC NICK.  Better than mine.  The backglass looks great as well.

Rocky is a fun game to play, but tough to work on. Your playfield look awesome ! The backglass is simply stunning.
