Just before Carl Williams died he was designing a rowing machine because exercise bikes do his head in.

  Received it today on my phone there are too many people out there with to much free time

Only a few days before he was killed, Roberta visited Carl and did comment on his weight.

Woody Allen in "Crimes and Misdemeanors" puts these words in Alan Alda's character's mouth: "Comedy is tragedy plus time". Of course, not all comedy is like that, but some certainly is.
